Washington, D.C., April 23, 2004 -- The North American Security Products Organization announced the certification of two major organizations at its Quarterly Board Meeting.

Brady Brand Protection Solutions and Northstar are the first certified security product producers in North America recognized by NASPO. To meet the certification requirements both organizations were required to adhere to the consensus standards set forth by NASPO, and to undergo a security audit by independent auditors. Both organizations met or exceeded the requirements for their classification.

The North American Security Products Organization is a non-profit security standards and accreditation organization dedicated to bringing a recognized level of security and creditability to the North American security products industry. The current members represent the various the segments of the industry including currency, negotiable and non-negotiable secure documents, brand protection, identity documents, security software and packaging. Membership is open to organizations and individuals within the industry including brand owners, associations, suppliers, producers and security consultants.
