Important Announcement!

NASPO has formed a consensus body supporting the creation of an American National Standard (ANS) to define minimum standards for proof and verification of personal identity. The consensus body provides the expertise of diverse interest groups who will guide and create this standard for identity-reliant transactions.

The Committee will develop a National Identity Proofing and Verification Standard to address the need for a nationally recognized standard method for verifying a persons identity.

This project has been active since July 2010.

Anyone interested in this Committee should contact the NASPO Standards Administration at naspo@telus.net or call (604) 921-9196.
